I have a SVERAK/FIFe registered cattery since 1997, located in Western Sweden, breeding Norwegian Forest cats. Member of the cat club Spinneriet, the Norwegian Forest Cat related club Skogkattslingan and a diplomated breeder in SVERAK, approved November 28, 2008.
I run a small scale cattery with two females. The cats are a part of our family and take part in our everyday life. Since harmony amongst cats and people are of utmost importance, the cattery will remain small. The intention with the cattery is to have occasional litters with healthy and harmonical, well-typed and sweet-tempered kittens whenever life agrees.
Since cats are family members in their homes, the temperament and health is an important consideration when choosing breeding cats. A forest cat is known as a harmonical and strong-built cat with an equilateral triangular head, double coat and tufts on their ears, and that is what we want to preserve. They should of course also follow the FIFe standard. The non-matting, waterproof coat and the look makes the forest cat breed special amongst other breeds.
